When we took the motor & tranny out of the 73, a friend helped us. He said it looked like the drivers side rear frame rail was seperating from the floor pan. So, ok, we wanted to replace that pan anyway-in fact we have one from NPD sitting in the spare room waiting for warmer weather. But, um, what exactly attached the frame rails to the car? They aren't ONLY attached to the pans right? I know is probably stupid, but.....The front are (basically) right? I mean, they are attached to the torque boxes, which are attached to the pans right? I haven't really spent much time under the car, so I really don't know....
Why didn't they make these full framed cars, it would have been so much easier!!!
