So I'm going to get some sub-frame connectors for my 94 gt are the bolt on kind good enough or should you really just go with the weld on kind. I guess I'm trying to save some money and do it myself. also when you have or had them put on you car do you need to take it to someone who has a chasis jig to make sure everything is how it should be?Thanks

Bolt-in connectors won't do anything at all, the twisting force is stronger than the bolt [hole, really] is. Go with weld-on. I prefer Maximum Motorsports myself. Anybody with decent welding skill can install them, the critical piece to remember is that the car should be resting on all four wheels when the welding is done. It cannot be on a chassis lift.

Actually, I think you might be better off with the powder coated ones. The shop can grind the paint off the weld points in no time (5 minutes tops). Then you (or they) have far less painting to do afterward. Plus powdercoating is more durable, and would probably get better coverage too (like on top of the connector - you would have to paint that before the install!!).

BTW, I got the MM full length connectors (painted). I would recommend doing the same. The additional cost of MM (which is top of the line) from cheapo connectors is pretty negligible in the big scheme of things. Plus, you if you cheap out now, you will be stuck with those for good.

Oh and also, keep in mind that the MM full lenth connectors will be somewhat more expensive to install, because they have braces and filler pieces in all the important places. You really want all that stuff for strength and rigidity, but it does take more time to weld up. And again, the additional cost is still pretty small in the big scheme.

What do these actually do? I know I'm not putting 300+ to the ground or anything, but my car doesn't feel like it's twisting up. Is it just something that you notice after it's fixed?

Makes the car totally stiffer. You would see a HUGE difference right away. Prevents the twisting.

I highly recommend the full lenght WELD on type that also bolts to the seat brackets. (Kenny Brown). I put these last year and now knowing how they act, it definately should have been one of my first mods.
