I just orderd some MM full length sub-frames.I was wondering the best place to get them installed.I just got forged internals in my 99 but the place that did it said they wont weld the SFCs.Should I go to a muffler shop, performance shop,or just any old garage. How musc does it usually run to install?

Good choice. :D

Install cost can vary, shouldn't cost more than a hundred & some change. The lowest price isn't always the best. Definately go with a shop that has previously installed SFCs, preferably on a Mustang. A newbie installer could have some issues... :)

The most important thing is to make sure you load the suspension when the SFCs are welded on. A drive-on/lift ramp would be ideal. Some people also choose to disconnect the battery, in order to prevent an electrical short. Carpet removal is also optional, a good welder won't stay in one place too long while doing the job, avoiding "hot spots" so to speak...that's why it's important to choose an installer who has installed SFCs before, they will know how to do it properly.

Ditto. Same advice, do you know of any late model Mustang clubs? Someone local could advise.

I called a performance shop and they said they do them and if they remove or roll up the carpet it will be 250 to install and if they dont remove the carpet than it will be 100 dollars. The guy said he wouldnt know if he would have to remove the carpet until he sees the subframes.Do the prices sound alittle steep?
