I dunno, I might go for one here shortly (have to reward myself for graduation and my healing broken leg somehow, right?). So which ones should I be looking for and why? I've seen something about one that was bad and I forgot the reason..lot of help, right?

Try looking at the Maximum Motorsports one. The rear of the brace connects to the pinch weld at the firewall for maximum rigidity.

Max Motorsports makes top quality stuff. I love their STB, but also had a Kenny Brown STB that (IMHO) was of equal quality. However, the KB unit would not work with MM's CC plates, so I ended up buying MM STB (and selling the KB). My point: Its not just the brace -- you should also try to factor in your longer-term modifications (and potential clearance issues because some after-market cold air kits are not compatable with certain STBs). With those things in mind, I'd recommend MM because everything they make is great -- at least I have no problems to date, nor have I read about any.

Good luck!

There is a chrome STB in classifieds now for 79-93's for $100obo I don't know what make it is, but it must cost more than that new.

How's the install on these? Do I have to do a lot of drilling/cutting? If it connects to the firewall I would assume so, but you know about assumptions..

EDIT: nevermind,found it
