I have a ford racing supercharger(currently 7lbs of boost) for my 2001 gt and I plan on buying a new MAF and 10 lb pulley( i talked to ford and they told me that this sc can handle up to 11 lbs of boost with no major mods and up to 16 lbs correctly done. They told me that at 10 lbs i should see a 60% increase in hp. I was wondering if there is anything else i Need to do to my car. I already have the fuel pump, injectors and tuner. Along with intake and exhaust. Doe i need to get or do anything else to my car?

NEED to? no. You might want to consider some new axles and suspension stuff to help put the hp to the ground. Also might want to start saving up for a new and stronger transmission.

I was just wondering because I hear about people putting in a vortech or paxton and getting 360rwhp with only the basics done( I should be there if not alittle more at 10 lbs). I am getting my car done this up coming weekend and i just want to make sure i got everything covered.

As long as you have the parts to make a safe tune-up you should be fine. The rest is just for insurance.

You may take this as a stupid question but what do you mean by parts for safe tune? Just curious....

As in an SCT programmer or Diablo predator. Are you getting a custom tune for it? Your A/F will be out of whack if you just go throwing parts at the car and not getting it tuned. A Dyno tune is obviously the best.

get a wideband on it to check your air fuel , the Sniper tune should be more than safe on the timing and air/fuel , but you went with the special forces kit you can get the air/fuel dialed in a little better and probably get more power out of it

Does Powerdyne still make Motorsports SC? If so, don't go more than 9lbs! You'll break the internal belt or burn out the bearings. If you want more boost go with a Vortech or one of the other guys.

Not the software, the blower itself. See if it says "manufactured by Powerdyne" on it.

I was told by ford racing that I could run safely at 10 or 11 psi. Even more with heavier mods. They told me that I could run 16 psi. So i am really confused. I dont know what to think. People say it will run hot.... I want advice from someone who actually has it. Not rumored bull *****!! So i think I will just keep it at 7 psi.....until i get my shelby

You should get some better rear lower control arms, if you havent got them already so u can get some of that power to the ground. I wouldnt get a blower without getting an intercooler also, & I would startoff with less boost just to make sure your engine is safe 4 a while.

You never said if it was Powerdyne or not. I'm talking from experience. I've been moding since 1990. I had a Motorsport blower that I bought in 97 and at that time Powerdyne made it.

I'm pretty sure he is referring to the roots style blower made by ford motorsports and not the old centri style
