Hey guys I got some n00bie S/C questions so forgive me. First off, what is the minimum octane recommended for a semi-stock 4.6 running 6-9 pounds? The highest in my town is 91.

Also, what would be a safe amount of boost to run with the stock sh1t internals? From what I've heard 400WHP is pushing it.

Lastley, are the mongoose kits really all that great? I know a lot of people go with MPH kits, but are their tunes right on the button? Would I still need the car dyno tuned (besides having the AFR checked)?

And BTW- this S/c project won't be coming until I can afford it ;) . So for now I'll stay N/A .

Thanks for any comments guys!

1)You can have it tuned for 91 octane, sure.

2)6-10psi non-intercooled, 10-12 intercooled (390-420rwhp with supporting mods). I see 9-10lbs full boost with just boost pipe and stock pulleys.

3)I like my mongoose kit, it is very complete, and the tune was 100% right on.

4)No you don't need a retune, if your tune is off with the mongoose kit you call MPH and they will tell you, or the guys at the shop if you're not comfortable using the xcal2, what adjustments to make.
