Interesting stuff! I have not been around here in many months (as my '66 'vert project has stalled...and I am building a turbocharged 2005 GTo as we speak!) but have a 331 forged/sportman block EFI motor w/ a Kenne Bell Blowzilla/Flowzilla to go into the 'vert.

I just didn't want to deal w/ pressurized carbs when I started pondering FI setups, and then realized that 12psi boost @ 2000 rpm was just what I wanted for this car.

Glad to hear others are building forced induction engines for their classic 'stangs. Last year at the 40th Anniversary MCA show in Nashville I expected to see more of these kinds of cars.

Hopefully this fall we can get the convertible done. It is painful looking at a pair of 17" x 11" Boyd Coddington Smoothies sitting in the box, instead of shedding rubber under 600+ RWHP! [yes, LOTS of mods to the chassis of this car, before you ask!].

Mixing new and old is getting popular. Turbo charged vintage Mustangs are still rare but I know of three running cars and about that many in progress.

At the Fab Ford show, hosted by Knotts Berry Farm, there was a '68 single turbo Mustang there. Cars like these get alot of attention, mostly from the younger crowd who know what intercooler piping looks like. I have seen guys spot my car from two rows over and make a beeline for it when the see the SS piping under the hood.

Tuning a carb for boosted applications can be tricky. I strongly recommend those considering it to invest in one of the cheap WB O2s available for less than $400.

Tuning EFI is a bigger investment, to begin with, but much easier to deal with future modifications.
