Hey guys, I've got a 2001 Mustang GT with 75,000 miles on it and I think it's time for some new shocks and struts. My rear shocks the ones that you replace when you get LCA are blown for sure, so which LCA's should I go with? And I've been looking on stangsuspension.com at their packages, I'm looking at either the Mach 1 that comes with springs, shocks and struts for 350. Or the Bullit that has front and rear sway bars springs, shocks and struts for 450. Which should I go with? They both lower the car about .75 inchs. And I assume the Bullit package handles better? But I'm not sure.

Thanks.

Maximum Motorsports has a great set of LCA'shttp://www.maximummotorsports.com/rlca.asp , if you want something cheaper Pro3i has a knock off set for alot cheaper http://www.partshopper.com/shop/Pro3-Mustang-Lower-Control-Arms-79-04-m176.html (Street/Race)

The bullitt/Mach kits are basically the same, you're paying an extra $100 for swaybars in the bullitt kit which isn't bad since each bar goes for around $100 a piece, but you only need a rear swaybar, the bullitt kit will handle better since the rear bar is solid

Thanks for the help. I've got one more question, I've had the car for 2 years and I've never taken it to the track, I tried to last summer but they were all filled up by the time I got there. So I don't race it to often, so is it worth putting LCA's on? The shocks are blown right now and I've heard they suck and go out all the time.

Hey I don't know much about the Mach 1 Kit. MAybe someone else does. But I put the bullitt suspension in beggning of the summer and i love it, less body roll and a tighter feeling. the car does ride harder though, and if u have anything heavy in the trunk or people in the back seat, the rear really takes the bumps hard. I did put new swaybar end links in, cause the stock ones go bad pretty fast and i put urethane bushings on instead of the rubber ones that came with the kit, i heard that makes it a little more stiff, but they last forever. I got mine from blueovalindustries.com best price i could find, and i got the bushings from somewhere in CA. Mustang restoration or something. The suspension wasn't bad, there is a really good article on corrall.net. My only complaint is that the front wasn't quite lowered as much as the rear was. But its barely noticable and i havn't had any trouble with bottoming out or anything which is always a problem on a lowered car. The car still launches great and handles even better. The rear swaybar that comes with the bullit kit isn't as thick as the GT kit, but supposedly they are tuned to work togather. I kept he GT swaybar cause if it is stiffer it could be installed if you are looking for more oversteer. The car right now is very neutral feeling. It was well worth the 400 or so it cost to install it.

I didn't do the LCA's it would def help launching. But if your not worried about the time or 2 that you might launch hard i wouldn't worry about it. I get less wheel hop now then with the stock kit, but i can only imagine what the LCA's would do. It all depends on your budget. Not required but recomended
