On my way home from work tonight I spotted a white 94-95 Cobra for sale. Which I hope to purchase very soon. Im assuming its 94-95 according to the tail lights, but it has 98 Cobra rims on the front, 03 Cobra rims on rear, Cobra R bumper, and Cobra R variation hood. If the owner doesnt have all the SVT papers whats the most important thing I should look for to confirm its authenticity. Thanks, Seán

The driver's side airbag should have 'Cobra' on it. The ebrake handle should be leather wrapped. The front brake calipers have 'Cobra' on them. The instrument cluster will be white faced. There should be 'Cobra' stamped on the valve covers. These are a few of the more obvious things to look for while you are there until you can get the VIN checked.

there is a sticker on the valve covers if that is what you are trying to tell him. That says and I quote "This Cobra engine system was maunfactured with pride by the employees at the Cleveland Enging Plant, Brook Park Ohio. If you have any quality problems with this engine please call: 1-800-COBRA-ES." Out to the side of the writing on the sticker has a black cobra.

Sounds like a "wannabe" to me...mix-match of wheels...the 94/95s came with the normal GT hood...back bumper should just say "Mustang" ...If your looking for the real deal, I'd check it out good...From what you write it sounds to me like a Cobra in the works they started and lost interest in??? Let us know what you find out... :nice:
Do you know the asking price???
