I currently have a Bassani catted x-pipe. I just picked up an O/R h-pipe for track use. I have read a lot about how cats hold back HP and I have also read that the cats are so efficient that it's negligiable. Is it worth the effort to swap out my Bassani catted x-pipe for this O/R H-pipe?
i would say swap it out. less restriction is always better, and the sound is ten times more aggressive than with catatalytic converters. power may not be a huge increase but there should be some just for the fact u wont have any catalytic converters
Don't look for major gains. The only thing that will be different is the sound.
I had both a MAC high flow cat h and MAC off road h. I dyoned them on the same day. The high flow cats made 237 HP / 297 TQ. Off road made 241 HP / 289 TQ. This was on stock heads and cam. With aluminum heads, cam and all the gap for the off road would have been larger.
