t body and maf question

i have a slightly modifyied 90lx with just a crane cam and a cold air kit but iam planing on doing more what size t body and maf should i use

As big as you can afford. You cannot go to big on t-body or maf. Plus you do not have to worry about having to go bigger later if the car ends up being a real beast later.

im putting equal length headers and a x pipe with cats,a ram air kit, a255 fuel pump with adj regulator. for now

Yeah, that'll be fine as long as the opening for the T body is at least 70MM. Which intake do you have?

it is a stock intake

Not much point if youve still got the stock heads and intake, if you ask me.

Get an explorer intake at least.

At this point I agree with 5.0Torx. There's no point in upgrading the TB since the opening in the intake is somewhere around 60MM. You could put the MAM on but you won't really pick up any power from that alone.

Mods like these are best done from inside to out. Pick a block that you want to use be it the stock block (I used mine) or whatever. Then decide what you want to use the car for and find a suitable cam, heads and intake. This stuff should all be matched together. Then top that stuff off with the bolt-ons that go on the out outside of the engine like MAM, TB, injectors and the like. It'll come out a lot better and you'll be much happier this way.

I did mine on a budget and I spent years collecting parts before I put it all together. I'm very pleased with the results.

You stand a risk of breaking out of the opening into the EGR passages by trying to open it that far.

With stock intake and heads, i wouldn't even bother. Slapping a 70mm or 75mm TB is a waste on a stock setup. Go with a matched combo. Aftermarket intake with a 65 or 70mm TB
