Tach mounting locations.

Any pics or recommendations. I really want to keep it as subtle as possible with the 5" tach. Where can I mount it? I think I saw a pic of it on the left pillar.

get the tach mounting bracket that modsquad has. no drilling on the dash required and it looks very clean.

I was thinking the same thing, The most "subtle" position I can think of would be on the steering column in front of the stock tach.

I have my shift light there and its not too subtle.

I have a buddy who has it on the steering column, but it seems to be too croweded. Michael, that about where everyone has it and have always liked it so I just may install it there. I thought I had seen somebody with it on the left side of the dashboard.

yea i like it there, the only thing is, i wish i hadn't drilled through the dash...if theres a way to mount it without drilling, i would have been so much happier

I have no idea how to connect it. Can you help me out? It looks like you did a good job hiding the wires, where'd you through?

Where would you drill? I looked it up but don't know how it goes.

it goes in between the radio bezel--you drill, but on the inside so it looks very clean and there won't be any visible holes in your dash if you were to take the tach off.

you route the wiring through there, too. check modsquad's out, man, very clean install.

i put a tiny notch in the side of the dash clock, and ran the wires in there, thru the hole in the dash from the clock, and tapped my wires in the HVAC controls

ummm sell the 5'' and pick up an automeeter 3 and 3/4

I just put mine on the a-pillar. Its not very subtle, but if I ever want to remove it, I will just have to replace the $21 a-pillar and not the whole dash.

Na, only the tach. My other gauges are in the clock pod and where the HVAC controls used to be. I moved the HVAC controls to where the factory cd player was.

Seems really ricey unless you have like 600 rwhp.
