That's funny. I have said before that I wound rather deal with a bear before dealing with a snake.

To be fair, that wasn't a poisonous bear either.

I actually did encounter a bear as a kid, in our backyard. He did his thing, I ran away, lol. I have also encountered dozens of snakes, everyone of them determined to be pit vipers until their heads come off.

We have only non-poisonous bears here. I guess we're not far enough north for the others.

Our bears tend to drink a lot. So poisonous or not, you don't have to worry too much about them. They just want to keep talking is all......

Well it runs. Again.
Finally stopped the water dripping out of the thermostat housing, but I guess a leak is a constant requirement because there's a few fuel leaks to chase down now.

To-do list is shrinking.
it was a short-lived victory though.

Some sort of plumbing curse has been placed on our house. So now the tubs, toilets and sinks are all full of water.

Will be an early morning.

It's really the cleanest and most well thought out looking engine build I've seen on here regardless of brand.
( Well,... The cleanest, and most well thought out,......except mine)
You can tell that a lot of effort ,thought and money has gone into how you've built this one Tanner, I'd be proud to lift that hood anywhere,...it looks really, really good.

I can only imagine the power you'll experience from this combo,....I hope you're up for it.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate the kind words.
I'm real happy with it for the most part. Need to take it apart this winter and paint the front end and fix the strut towers. Trying to just live with it for now.

Since being a cheap ass is the father of innovation (is that how that goes?), I decided I'd find a way to reuse my fox throttle cable once again.

Lokar cable is $130, hi ram brackets are $80.
$130+$80= nope.

It started off ugly enough that even I was concerned.

Got to put my TIG to use for the 5,000th time, seriously my favorite thing in the garage. This was somewhere in the cleaning it up process.

Works like a charm!

Painted it black so it isn't as noticeable. Planning to paint the cable end as well. It's an ugly piece but that's $210 back in my pocket.
Which I spent on an overflow tank and some fuel pump relays
