Only goal this week was to get the dash out.
It was unpleasant at best lol.
Plenty of home improvement to keep me occupied unfortunately.

My wiring phase was 40 hours IIRC..but I believe that our hero here is wiring a much less involved "race car" harness. Nonetheless still a potential pain in the ass.

Will maintain all the power window, mirror, lights, etc.
Stereo wiring is going to get removed but will leave the speakers.

Going to build a circuit board for my ECU, relays and a much nicer source for 12v/Ground sources and get this unused heater core out of the way.

I'm sure it will be less complex than what you've had to wire up in your last couple projects no doubt. But I seem to have 40 hours in everything I do regardless

Can anyone tell what the base for my circuit board started life out as?

You have 5 relays...so,......FP, WP, Fan(s) Headlights,Starter?... It looks like you are "fusing" the 12v supply side of the relays..

I'm no J richker, but I think that you need a 10ga. at minimum feeding your power distribution. Your 12v supply side of the relays need to be direct from 12v, (maybe each one comes from one of those screw terminals on the main red lug?), and each circuit needs to be fused between the load and the supply (doesn't look like the "87 pin" is wired yet)..where are those wires?

The answer was cutting board. It was a cutting board.

Though I do agree about the supply wire being too small. (It's 12ga)
It's definitely going to take me some time to get it right
The 87 pin to the pumps and fans are not built yet. They'll get run once the board is mounted. The Holley will control the ground side for the 2-3 fan relays. The fuel pump relays are currently out back but if I move them to the board I'll have to redo the wiring there as the ECU supplies the 12v signal for the pump. The other will go to the starter. Probably going to make another small board for some additional stuff as well.
I know it won't all be right the first time. Hopefully by the 3rd or so I'll have it down!

So here's another opportunity to show off my inexperience.

Here's the general layout of my circuit board I'm building. Open to criticism if it's even legible once posted. I have no shame in my Microsoft paint skills.

Im building this board to have about twice as many available terminals as I'll need and I can add additional relays as needed.
It did start out as a cutting board I stole from our kitchen and a bunch of individual components I bought online.

Also have 500ft of 12/14 ga wire in addition to my stash of random stuff I've accumulated. Should be plenty to get me there.

I've not no experience starting from scratch which is why I wanted to do this instead of buying a prebuilt.
I did take a few automotive electronics classes in college. How much I retained is yet to be seen.

The 12v switched fused block is kind of redundant, and might just replace the current bank on the board. Though not everything will need a fuse.
The fuses on the 12v constant side are there because I was always taught to protect the relay from both 12v sources. Don't think they'll be a problem, could be wrong.
Planning for the starter push button to be on the ground side and ground the relay as shown.

The big ground lug should be simple enough, though I'm curious the best way to supply 12g key on to the other big red lug on the left?
Run the ignition switch 12v wire to a relay so that when engergized the lug will see 12v?
Any better way to do this @madmike1157?
