Now I've gotta clean the motor again, powdercoated parts made the rest look awful. Picking up my intake at LSfest tomorrow

Ordered the rest of the stuff to put the motor together next week. Except I'm sure the camshaft won't get spec'd by then. And I'm happy to wait because it hurt the wallet pretty good. Next time someone says how cheap they are or "just a junkyard blah blah" kick them square in the nuts. They're either lying or stupid.

Ohhh ohhh!! I'll take Stupid for 1000 Alex..

Clearly,....you are doing it wrong.

The sloppy mechanics guide to fast LS engines uses JY 5300's LS1 heads, A JY 4l60e and a BIG assed turbo.

Done.

The biggest difference between yours' and theirs is:

They use raggedy assed 4 door fairmonts instead of $5,000 really nice GT rollers, They don't buy aftermarket, They don't powder coat, and they use a hole saw to make exhaust cut outs..

I can't bring myself to do any of those things. A budget build is one thing, but being proud of "intentionally" building junk and piss poor craftsmanship I cannot get behind

You guys talked me into being patient. So I'm TRYING to be. hard to argue against free stuff when your car budget is already tapped out as quickly as it grows.

Friend of mine went 8.5s in a 3600lb blazer last weekend with a very similar combo so it sold me on going ahead with the s366 turbos. I was specifically advised that they designed the kit around a pair of precision and Comp turbos but I didn't listen. that would be too easy right?

Might drop it in the car tonight just to look at it. Unfortunately missing a camshaft and balancer or I'd put it together.
Have a few days off work, need to put the rear back together

He incorporated way more than that! From what I heard it's still on a ford ECU?
