By far my largest car related delivery to date lol

The passenger quarter fit great. Hoping to get them to the painter this weekend.
I'm undecided on converting the front end, will depend on how well the rear conversion goes.
Garage is a disaster once again

I knew it wouldn't be long, lol.

While I'm not a Vette guy myself your car is really nice. Have you considered painting the roof bar black?
Yeah I have. I like to be able to switch tops though and it doesn't look right with the painted top. Definitely considered it though.

I love corvettes, always have. But the community is lacking. Mostly people that don't own tools and take everything to the dealership

You know, that's the funny thing about corvettes. They used to be turds, but have gotten to be amazing cars. The community, not so much. I think the tops come off those things to clear the majority of the owner's noses.

Exactly. There is no middle ground. The corvette forum is massive, and there's really not much good tech there.

Wait,.....it's one thing when the thread has a mustang in it. After all,...this is a mustang forum. It's a testimonial to the tolerance of the forum when the thread owner makes an LS engine swap the intended power plant for that mustang.

But I don't see a mustang. Anywhere.

I've owned 2 vettes- a 70 LT1 and a 85 POS. Down here the vette owners tend to be arrogant, rich older white guys who couldn't tell you the difference between a box wrench and a box lunch. They all walk around with their Corvette Club jackets on and have 5 foot tall plaques in front of their stock 2014 car .

Always wanted an LT1 car. Exwife's uncle had a silver one. His was a 71 though.

Wait...while mikes car is a fox platform, uhh not a mustang. And I completely understand this is further(completely non-mustang) away from the intended audience, if somebody doesn't want to follow,so be it. I still like it and want to follow. Even though you'll probably change your mind and sell the dang thing. Lol.

Better lock down ol' blue's truck thread too while yer at it.
Let's clarify things here guys.

Firstly this is a ford forum. And yes, the mustang enthusiast is the intended member. The fact that this sub forum caters to the fox version doesn't change that.

Tanners thread has always had an LS engine in the center of the build, but it's always been wrapped in ford skin. On other forums I populate, they either sequester that build to a crossbreed sub forum, or they simply won't allow it. Here, Tanner is the reason why a cross breed thread is tolerated in this specific instance. The fact that he does good work, and it shows in the pics and commentary are the reasons the previous threads were allowed. At the very least, there were still fox body mods, and race car prep/tech that one might be able to take away from what he had posted. I personally do not mind trans gender swaps, and I am a LS fan. hell, I even strongly considered one for the engine in the monster.

But

There is no longer any single thing that anybody could take away from a thread with a corvette in the center.

Im sorry if that sounds a little neo nazi, but it just makes sense. There are literally dozens of mustang forums online. And that goes to say that there are the same amount out there for any given make or model.to include Corvette, and Fat fendered ford pick ups.

that could also be said of my fairmont as well. The level of custom junk going on with the car makes the stuff that could be gained from anybody looking equally obscure. In some instances it may as well be a Corvette. But my car is still a fox, it still uses the exact same junk a mustang uses, AND, it has a ford engine,.......much to my financial ruin.

I guess it all gets down to what the majority ( all 14 of us) are willing to allow.
What happens when ol dude wants to detail his build of a monster Miata?
( it's still got a 5.0)
I detail a Mitsubishi Starion build with an r block 363?
Again, ford motor, jap car.

Some other guy wants to put a 2jz in a 89 coupe? Jap engine, ford car

69 Camaro, LS-2

Where do you draw a line here?
