hey what year is that out of ? and is the Taurus fan better or is the Lincoln fan better ? i want to do this to my ride as well ! i already have the 3G done so it can handle the extra draw!

The Lincoln fan puts out about 1000cfm more air than the Taurus fan does on high, but most people report that the Taurus fans work fine for them even on low. I'm going with the Lincoln fan because it fits the radiator better and actually requires less power to run while pushing more air. So, better is all in how you look at it. The Lincoln fan is considerably thicker when measured from the radiator to the water pump and requires a lot of trimming to make it fit.

Yep, dead on. The Lincoln Mark VIII fan is just a pig, most people use the Taurus fan cause it fits better because it's over an inch thinner, and Mark VIII's aren't too common in most junk yards. The Mark VIII is definitely superior though, it flows more, has a larger shroud that cover nearly the entire fox radiator, and personally I think it looks much cleaner, although the OP's install looks exceptionally clean!

The Taurus fan works just fine on low, even in South Florida heat. I had my first one hooked up to high speed, and it was a monster when it started up. I recently replace it and wired up the new one to low, and it keeps the car just as cool, and it isn't so nasty upon start-up.

Plus this allows me to wire the high speed side for my AC, so it will work the way it was originally designed.

mine was out of a 92 i believe but it has to be the 6 cylinder, the 4 banger is no good...i wired it up to low speed and that baby blows good...i have to wait until a warm day though to see how it handles the load... i have a feeling it will be just fine... for the money you really hcant beat it...

Yea they are out of the late 80s, early 90s with the 3.8. Those cars are typically a dime a dozen at the bone yards.

I am glad you posted these! I have been looking at getting a different ones as my new vortech pulley setup made me remove my black magic fan. Looks like I am going to go with a set of SVT contour fans with a dcc controller. What did you use for a fan controller?

the svt contour uses the same fan has regular V6 contour's just the radiator was different it was thicker. just some info so you don't limit your search for the fan, the svt's can be hard to find junked and some yards jack up the price because it came out of an svt.

i went way more simple than that...my setup requires the fan to almost always be running so i just used a relay that is controlled by an ignition hot... so basically its on whenever my ignition is on...its too cold here to put it to the test so i have to wait...
