hey guys i got a 99 mustang v6 and i am woundering how i can turn the damn traction control off plzzz help ive herd of a traction control disable kit and pulling a fuse but that disables the abs. i bought a chilton book for a fuse block diagram but theres not one in there and there no diagram on the back of the cover can anyone help me?

I do remember seeing a device that you plug into the T/C switch and it would "remember" the last setting. It would stay off until you turned it on and it would stay on until you turned it off. Even through restarts..

Can't remember where I saw it though..

Only way I know of is getting a handheld tuner. I know Diablo turns it off.

Edit:
Didn't know he had a tc button and was trying to get that to work.

When you say it does nothing do you mean that the traction control still engages after pressing the button once after the vehicle has been started for a few seconds, or do you mean that no light comes on. I believe i have heard that a few people have just had the light stop working but the switch itself still works. Hopefully you can get it fixed the traction controls on our cars suck and are rather pointless. I always turn them off.

ive mosly tried it while driving pushing the button and no light comes on or anything but i think ive tried it all, pushing it while the car is off then starting it umm pushing while it running and sitting in park i cant figure it out idk if there is a certain way that u need to do it. i just figured id pull the fuse for it so i took the cover off and theres no lable on the cover for which fuse is under the dash or under the hood so i bought a book and that has no fuse diagrams in it or anything about the traction control. i read on her that there is a fuse for it but it disables the abs aswell so im guessing that the traction control is part of that and ill just pull the fuse because i dont need the abs brakeing but i can not find any diagrams to c which fuse it is

Well generally right when you start up the car if you push the button the light turns on then goes off. You have to wait a second after it goes off to disable it. Sounds like there is something wrong with your switch. I really recommend you dont disable your abs as it is a safety feature that comes in handy and could prevent you from wrecking your car or hitting something.

Don't pull the fuse as it will disable your ABS and mess up your brake proportioning.

With the T/C, all you need to do is push the button and it's off. Are you sure the T/C is coming on??? When the system is active, you will see a little green spinning wheel in the instrument cluster when the system kicks in. If you are not seeing this light, then the T/C is not on.

To test it out, go to a sandy parking lot, hit the T/C button, cut the wheel and try a donut. That should kick the t/c in and you will see the little wheel in the dash
