Thanks for all the replies guys but to clarify I would be buying a cobra that is already modded with around 20k miles and i'm looking to stay in the 24-25k range. So in reality I'd being buying a 2011 GT for 35k + 3-4k in mods to run near what the termi would run and equals to a 14k difference after mods. Now the warranty is a huge bonus for 2011. Also this would NOT be my daily driver I have a Navigator for that and my credit is a none issue.

Termi hands down. Of course I'd be happy with a stock one for around 18,000 with no mods whatsoever. About half the price of an '11. you can always get one of those. The Termi window is closing.

Which is why the Termi still wins in my book...in a couple of years the GT will still just be a GT but the termi is the last supercharged 4.6 w/ irs mustang. Maybe buy a GT a couple years later as my DD...

to me, after driving them each one it should be a pretty simple descion...

I don't think that if someone enjoyed the way one felt and drove, they would enjoy the way the other felt and drove very much

Here's my question for you...Do you have your own house?

I'm thinking that 24-25 is a nice downstroke on your own place if you don't already have one.

If you want to run 9's, then save some cash and go buy a Hayabusa or an equivalent plastic fantastic. Besides, the tang flocks to bikes like camels to watering holes.

I just saw your sig and realized I remembered when you bought your Mach, and then it got trashed afew weeks later. What a bummer. If I had the money to buy either I'd take the 2011 (even though I'm not an '05+ fan). The N/A 425+ horsepower I like alot, but having a '03-'04 Cobra as a second choice is still just as good I think.

My 03 had over 24K in mods on it.
For power it had long tubes, OR H-pipe, cat-back, tune, 2.76" pulley, ported plenum, big oval t-body, BIG MAF meter, Steeda CAI and various other small things and it had 450 rwhp. It would run low 12's all day and with a good driver it would see high 11's I would bet. The new GT can run 11's with slicks, x-pipe, cat-back and tune.
Shelby is already making a blown GT350 with over 500 hp (some are guessing 556) with the new 5.0

Now 25K MAY find you a lowish (around 30K miles) mile car and will prolly have exhaust, tune, intake and pulley to run 440 ish at the wheels. The STOCK GT will run with it with ease but stop MUCH better (with optional brakes) and handle MUCH better as well as be a more pleasant place to be inside.

Another thing to consider is financing companies usually give a much better rate on a new car then a used one so the payments may be pretty dang close.

Down side is in 5 years the GT will be worth 18-20K where as the Cobra will still be worth what you paid for it..... most likely.

I'm going to be moving to the Chicago northwest suburbs so buying a place right away is kinda out of the question just because how expensive it is up there. I am going to wait until a 2011 is on the lot and go drive one. With my new job I'll also get a supplier discount so I'll be looking into how much that is worth. I have already owned a bike and yea girls do flock to them but my brother was involved in a fairly serious bike accident where a car pulled out in front of him and I decided to sell mine after that.

That's certainly one opinon. I on the other hand think they're the nicest looking Mustang to hit the street since the originals from the 60's and early-70's.

Agreed, with the exception of the 03-04 Mach 1s and Termis....and here we have a dilemma again (or at least I do). If I had the money, I honestly don't know which one I would get. Such a close choice.

Someone please tell me how a Termi shifts compared to the 03-04 GT's. If there's one thing I hate about my car it's the clunky damn tranny.
