TFI coil with stock tach?

I'm finishing up the wiring on my Fuel Injected 2.3 Turbo swap into my 78 Coupe. I plan on getting some after market gauges, still acumulating them, until then I need to use the original Tach, can I just hook it up the same way it was with the Duraspark II ignition or does the TFI coil provide too much current or something?

Also, how rare are the 120 MPH gauge clusters? I have one laying around in my garage I don't need and was wondering if I should toss it or sell it.

argggg, I'm sorry every time I post in this forum.

Well hell man, if your tossing it I'll take it.

Even pay you for your trouble.

You ditching the cluster or what? I'd take that too.

I have a standard 85 mph gauge cluster and a 120 mph gauge cluster. I'm going to remove the speedometer and tachometer from the 85 mph cluster to use for the time being. When I get the rest of my Autometer gauges and finish building my new dash I was going to put them back in the cluster. But everyone has an 85 mph cluster so I doubt that's worth anything.

If you want to buy the 120 mph gauge cluster you can. I'll knock $5 off whatever price we agree upon if you can send me a clutch cable adjuster, the part that mounts on the fire wall.

the tfi coil im using (MSD) works great until 3000rpm then the tach starts bouncing up and down. i reinstalled a standard coil just to make sure and it works perfectly. i use the tfi coil 94-95 mustang application on my carbed v8
which works great with aftermarket guages.
