TFS twisted wedge V AFR 165 heads

:uzi: NOOOOOOO! .. the TW, AFR debate ... AHHHHHHHHH!

I'm sure the new CNC option on the TW will make a good head capable of flowing even better ... but what use would lazy air be on a daily driven 302

The Wedges aren't bad ... either are the AFR's ... they are both great heads, but on certain applications, one will be a bit stronger suited than the other.

There's good match and great match for every application ... damn it :)

In the end you get what you pay for.

"well CNC porting the and they will piss all over the AFRs"

True, because they were CNC ported and you payed for that.

Speed equals money, how many times do we have to emphasize this.

some one said if the TW are better then AFR's then why dont they sell them for the same price? uhh the price is higher on the AFR's cause of the CNC porting on them..and uhhh they also know that all the suckers out there will pay it

Right, the CNC ports are a big advertising gimmick ... that's why TF is doing it to the TW design ... they want to cash in on some of the false benifits as well :nice:

CNC does cost more and does perform better as well.

It all supposed to start with reading comprehension in 2nd or 3rd grade.
I've noticed quite a lack there of on dis one.

Stage 1: Learn to read.
Stage 2: Comprehend what you are reading and interpret it correctly
Stage 3: Interact coherently with others.

I'm still working on Stage 3 :)

NEWS FLASH!!!! Everyone take off your superchargers and turbochargers!!! They increase compression which apparantly decreases your horsepower!!! I always wondered how John Force goes so fast... he pulls his blower belt off before every race!!

Give me a shipping address so I can send you your boobie prize.

TWs have shorter intake runner length, if they had the same length that AFR has it would be closer to the AFR185 head. AFR165 flow very close to AFR165 so the air will be moving faster through the smaller AFR port, which should make for more area under curve & better throttle response. It really comes down to the entire combo not just the head both heads perform so close to each other.

AFR165 can easily be opened up to 185s where TWs can be opened up more. I personally would run the AFRs because they will allow you to run more cam choices unless you flycut the pistons.

You got a link to these things? I've not seen them yet. Are they emissions legal?

185cc TW

205cc TW

Emissions legal just like a box stock TW and they'll fit on a stock shortblock. Summit owns Total Engine Airflow and these are TEA cnc ported heads. They start out as a slightly smaller casting than a box stock TW and are ported. I read about them on hardcore 50 :)

185cc TW on my car
