Well it was a sad day and a happy day for me last Friday. My dealership called me up to let me know that my '08 GT/CS vert arrived. What's sad you ask? Well I parted with my '05 GT that day. Specs on the '08 GT/CS: Black on black with the two tone black/parchment leather interior, dvd navigation (wife)
, heated seats (wife) and yes, automatic (wife again)
. The '05 was a stick and she hated to drive it. Now I can't get her out of the new one which is fine with me. My '68 is 5-spd
so if I feel the need for a 3rd pedal I have a back up
I opted not to get the GT appearance package because I plan on an aftermarket hood in the future.
One thing I did notice is that my '08 has a much quieter exhaust note than my '05 did. I had stock exhaust on my '05 but I could hear it coming & going and it sounded good at idle. My '08 is whisper quite. Could that be because it is a vert? I also noticed on my '08 that the Cali. clog filter in the intake tube was not present. Did they place it somewhere else in the '08? My first mods will be minor stuff, exhaust, CAI w/Brenspeed tune , and light bar. I'll post some picts soon.
