Today I was a victim...of the 4 cyl bandit. You all know him. He cruises the streets in his noble steed, the white 2 door Honda Civic hatch back Type X (or S, Z, R, or any other letter they think looks cool). His armor is the hoodie and skull cap. I'm minding my own business and here he comes pulling up next to me...at the red light. He's blasting beats, left hand on the steering wheel, right hand on his chin, leaning to the right, looking for trouble, and he's got 16 1/2 seconds of spare time with my name all over it. He looks over and gives me the nod. You know "THE nod"...where the chin shoots up real quick with the jaw clenched, holds for 2 seconds, and then slowly comes down all while simultaneously ice grilling me with the arrogant contemptuous expression on his face. The nod that let me know that I was the unlucky SOB in the wrong place at the wrong time and he was ready to show me what is what. The gauntlet was thrown and I was called out when he revved exactly 3 times. So I SMDH as I look over with a smirk thinking to myself "oh brother, not this again". I tell myself "I'm too old for this and I'm gonna get pulled over" as I'm dropping into 1st, turning off the OD, and disabling the traction control. As it just so happens tho, I was a bit pressed for time so unfortunately I could only give him 13 seconds of my attention.
Haha...anyway it's like these kids have a dress code or something. And they have a protocol of what to do in the event they happen upon some unwary Mustang on the streets they're patrolling. Even the female 4 cyl bandits (4 cyl banditas) dress and act accordingly in the jurisdiction they're assigned to. They come rolling up looking at you like they're gonna take your lunch and there's nothing you can do about it. And it's never the fast ones that do this, they're usually cool. It's only the 15 second and slower crowd. Which is why it's soo rewarding to just walk them. So beware, stick to the side streets, try not to draw attention to yourself, and ALWAYS make the green or yellow light, and maybe you can avoid the fury of...the 4 cyl bandit, hahahaha!! Sheesh...
