I purchased a 91 LX 5.0 5 spd. I just ordered MSD distributor, cap, wires,CAI,headers, catted h pipe, cat back, underdrives, and thats it for now. I would like to add a throttle body, and upper/lower intake as well as a good cam and heads. But for now I think the cam will be the next purchase. This will be a daily driver so I want somthing with a decently stock style idle and somthing that isnt too exotic if at all, just one to make good power. Should I go for the b303? Will this cam even make a big difference or should I add heads/intake first, and if i dont will the cam work with my stock heads and intake? Any help I would appreciate thanks.

Oh yea, does anyone also know where I can get the hurst shifter that comes with the boot that replaces the whole stock boot and has a hurst logo on the new piece with the chrome handle and white knob? Not really relivant just saw this in a 5.0 at car show and want to know where to get one. Thanks.

The HO is the best piece out of the three. I would change it all at once. Or if you feel you just have to do something, get an intake now and then change the heads and cam together. The B cam is too much for the stock stuff.IMO.

I'd go one part at a time. I'd go intake first, then heads, then cam. The heads you want to go with should determine the intake and cam, not any other way around, and I suggest a custom cam to ensure no unused power is left on the table with your intake and head setup.

So would a cobra intake work alright with my stock heads and cam? I was thinking typhoon but the cobra is like 30 bucks more on ebay and am sure it flows better. Maybe recommend some heads and cam to go with this intake somthing mild not exotic?

The cobra will work best with the stock heads and cam. The typhoon will outflow the Cobra, its a copy cat to the edelbrock RPM manifold, just needs a little cleaning up with a dremel. Cobra is a good manifold but doesn't pull past 5500 rpm really. Good low end.
