So i have about 850 bux right now and want to start modding my car. I had a 2001 Bullitt before this. Now i have a 05 GT. I already have a Pypes off road x pipe, and flowmaster catback. I've been looking at RPMoutlets stage 3 package. Comes with either a diablosport programmer or SCT Tuner, C & L intake (street or race) and GT500 65mm Throttle body and Brisk plugs all in a package deal. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this kit or these parts in general that could give me some insight if this will be a good kit to go with.

jlt is the best intake for you money sct is the best tuner for our cars and the throttle bodies are crap keep your stock one if you do get it so you can trade back.. best bang for you buck would be a cold air kit with a tuner.. sometimes the sct xcal3 comes with under drive pullies and a cold air kit that would give you about 30+ rwhp check at american muscle or brenspeed.com they are all good sites. or call my guy joe @ dynospeed.com he can hook you up too let me know what you decide

I have the GT-500 throttle body and it made a big difference in high RPM power. If you can get all that for $850 that's a good deal, however the plugs aren't needed.

seems like im getting mixed reviews about the throttle body and ive decided not to go with rpmoutlet... now im trying to decide which intake will give the most power and mate it up with a sct tuner and underdrive pullies.... anyone have any say so as far as the best intake (jlt, c&l, or steeda) ?

They are all within a few HP of each other. Get the one that looks best to you. The power is made with the tune.

sorry fellas i have to disagree.. for the money.. the jlt is your best bet i justify my argument in saying that hardly any bends and a straight through air flow is gonna make the most power. its not pretty by any means but it damn sure gets the job done.. i tell you what you want honest answers from some s197 experts call this number he doesn't car if you buy from him or what just will tell you what your combo with a tune should put you at "rwhp" and give you a ball park price on best money spent.. his name is joe @ dynospeed racing in memphis tn. the # is 901-373-1157 he should be able to set ya right for what YOU want and thats important too

in addition to getting a CL racer, you should get a tune from brenspeed or bamachips, or get a custom dyno tune.

ok i just got off the phone with brenspeed, they are claiming that there are no real power gains with a c&l over a JLT, just a difference in cost of material thats why the prices are different. So ive decided to go with a JLT intake + SCT and some Steeda underdrive pullies. Now its a preference of to go with Brenspeed or Bamachips?! Both seem reputable companies. Any insight on which to go with? Has anyone had problems with their tune from either?

my understanding is that the CL racer has the widest tube, but by a small margin and only helps when u run something like cams, as for going with either one of those guys, they're both great. Feel free to run a search of the forum and see for yourself.

yeah you'll be fine.

have a conversation with bama or brenspeed let them know your future plans and I'm sure they'll suggest the right parts

have fun modding

thanks for all the help guys, i've decided to go with The JLT Intake, SCT, and Underdrive pullies from brenspeed. I also figured while i'm at it i might as well go ahead and regear it too. Seems like most on here are getting 4.10s. I had 3.73s in my Bullitt so ima go ahead and give the 4.10s a shot. Will i need to purchase a gear installation kit with all new bearings bolts and crush sleeve? Or would i be better off just takin it to the dealer to get the gears installed?

don't do it urself unless you have experience doing it + never take it to the dealer unless ur totally anal about ford touching ur baby. There are probably plenty of tranny/rearend shops in ur area that will do a great job, while charging A LOT LESS. The dealer mark-up is crazy on parts and service. Congrats on the intake, tuner etc.................my 19 month old is preventing me from doing any mods quite yet .
