The First Eibach 2" Drop....

....at least I think I am the first to post it anyways.

This is the Eibach Sportline Kit. 1.7" drop in the front and 2" in the rear. The install went really well once I had all the correct tools and proper instructions that I found at TheMustangSource.

I love the look, Im so glad I chose this over the Pro kit. The only thing I have to watch over are those speed bumps.

That's the Sportsline, the Pro Kit lowers it only 1.0-1.5.

Looks good though, a little too low for me. I'm leaning towards the Pro Kit myself. Nice job though.

I think it's recommended you get your alignment checked after if you can.

cleveland, looks REALLY nice, it looks more like the concept car now.......hope my post in that previous thread helped a little.....some 18" wheels and low profile tires and that thing will be sweet......now all i need to do is buy a new mustang.....hopefully soon...ha, if ya can respond on how little body roll there is, and ride, and how bad clearance/driving/hills it is...either way i think i'd have to deal with it cause it looks great, my experience eibach springs are great and aren't bad in ride quality actually better in my opinion and more controllable and predictable while in a sliding situation...you can let it slide out a little and bring it back whenever you feel like it....

I am with the wheels post, definitely need a new set of wheels and tires to set the look off well now... The tires look over-passenger car type tires now... A little to low for my tastes as well, but good job... How is the ride now in comparison???

The ride quailty is not greatly different. I feel the road more, havent noticed any bounce yet and the only issue are those damned speed bumps. It pulls around corners now with very little body roll as compared to before.

I really want to test for any understeer now since that was my only issue with the car for me. I think it will be just right.

I still do need to get it aligned since I completed this install by myself with a couple of my friends just yesterday. Drove the guys to the store to buy them the victory beer and then I went home for the night. The front wheels are noticably toeing out right now.

I'll see if I can get to a shop to get it aligned today, hopefully somebody can get it done for me without buying a camber/castor plate kit. I was short a torx type wrench to remove the rear bumpstop hold down plates to put the new shorter ones in so I have to go buy that today.

Its going to be a while before I want larger wheels and tires and Im more than fine with what I have right now.

On flat ground the clearance in the front wheel well is currently about 2", when I park on my slight hill of a driveway its about 1 3/4". Thats with the stock wheels and tires so if you go with larger wheels you are limited to pretty low profile tires unless you want to really sit on your shoes.

If you dont know how, or dont feel like thinking, just call tirerack....they will know what your current overall diameter is, if you tell them what you want 18" wheels....whatever they will tell you the overall diameter with different size tires (width and sidewall series (40) change the diameter). You can get very close to stock if that is what you want, and lower profile tire will really compliment the eibach springs.

Based on your measurements, I think 18's would work if you should decide to go with those. Once again it looks really great with a 2" drop.

I dont think I'll decide on switching out these great looking stockers, IMO anyways, for anything in the aftermarket until I notice a deep dish/5 spoke wheel set to put out back. I would love to fill out the rear wells more but Im not even sure yet that 10s would fit. 18"s would definitely look sweet with the right kind of rubbers but I probably wont do this for at least another 2 years. I'd rather get as many miles out of what I have instead of listing even more stuff on ebay.

I want to post an awesome shot of my front bumper sitting on the street as I drive out of my driveway, which is on a small incline of a hill. I hope to get my camera replaced soon so I'll post a few more pics when that happens.

According to a few posts on TheMustangSource, the rear end, when droped, is pushed out to one side making one wheel stick out further than the other. At least in my case this is not true, the rear end is still centered.
