Shouldn't be too big of a deal in my application. The water pump is a high flow unit and the alternator is 3G which is more powerful than stock. Of course, time will tell....
So it slows down the water pump and accessories. I had one on my drag Falcon but never used one on a street driven car.
I'd forgotten that you eliminated the Power Steering.The aluminum tube isn't supposed to be delivered until Wednesday, but I got most of it thrown back together and got a more accurate measurement for the tube. I also had to order a new belt, the one I had with the original brackets is too short. So when those finally arrive all I should need to do is cut the tube to length, install it, reinstall the radiator and hoses, install the new belt, fill it with coolant, then fire it up.
Finally got the Cobra put back together. I added what I had for antifreeze and it turns out I was short, so I'll need to pick up more. But I was able to fire it up for a couple minutes and there's no more belt issues.
I do have a concern though. The alternator is high enough now that it interferes with the upper radiator hose. I'll have to do some shopping and figure out if there's a molded hose that would work. If not, maybe a flex hose could be made to work?

Question:
Is that water pump turning in the correct direction with that setup? That WP pulley was made for the backside of the belt. Is your pump a pos rotation?

Is a chinee aluminum radiator that has the top hose inlet mounted to the other side outta the question?
I was just curious,I’ve bought a few Jegs/Summit/ebay aluminum radiators in the $ hundred-ish dollar range when I was still heavily into truck pulls,and they all did what I needed em too lolIt might be a solution if/when I replace the radiator, but I didn't search for one since my radiator is still doing the job. I figure this is probably the most cost effective route for now.
