Poly mounts eh?? Nice! I want to install new motor mounts on my black car. I have convertible mounts, which are firmer than the old style mounts, but I can see the rubber is cracked on them.

I can't wait to see the shots tomorrow! BTW...The car looks sick with those wheels in that pic above. I say leave it white too!!

Yeppp.. Went with poly engine and trans mounts. I don't feel like replacing them all the time so these should last me a long while! I'm liking the white with those rims too so she's staying white. I'll just re-paint it white when the funds allow probably in the spring time. Anywhoo time for some progress pics!!

Hopefully the front comes down some more.

with those poly mounts: did you have to cut off the little "extra" welded tab when mounting them to the frame? I noticed that once I put mine in, the "extra" tab didn't fit in any of the slots and actually created a gap between the motor mount and k-member plate. Maybe it's just the K-member

There are holes in the k-member for those pins you speak of. it took a little moving around lifting and lowering but they ended up seating in the holes. I had the mounts on the engine first. It took a few mins but we ended up getting them to seat nice and flat

Thanks she's getting there! I still need so many more things. This is when having a donor car would have been nice.

He would have helped with the whole project but he's busy usually on the weekends. He helped me with all the bigger stuff that required 2 people. Its nice to have a project that we kinda built together.

This weekend i have plans, Friday im taking off from work and heading to the englishtown swap meet at raceway park, and this weekend i'll be in PA for my fiance's little sisters b-day. I still need so many small things before i fire her up so its going to be a while. I need like the accelerator cable, vac tree, weld the e-brake, o2 sensors, gauge cluster, muffler mounts... ughhh the list goes on and on.

Just let me know what I can help you with. I don't have an accelerator cable though....those sell like hot cakes, and the last one got cut when dropping the motor out... I've got most of the stuff on your list...

Have fun over the weekend.

Oh don't you worry, i'll let you know what i need. I'm hoping i can locate an accelerator cable at the swap meet Friday. The rest of the stuff should be no biggie. Oh BTW, thanks for the bolts man! I needed every single one of them and didn't need to get any for the bellhousing, trans, or starter!!!

That would be nice, those are a little hard to find. I'm glad you used all the bolts I sent you. I knew I saved those for a good reason. Glad they worked out for you!!

I've got a accel cable, and vac tree. I'm sure we could work something out. List what else you need. I might have it. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see it finished.

hey word of advice, use 4 spare driveshaft bolts for the trans to bell. 12mm and they work so damn nice, I can actually get the wrench on there good and yank if needbe, but if you have 4 laying around try it, youll like it!!

Lookin good Coupe! Engine bay is very well done. Everything looks factory and I like that.

The only thing I would add/change is get a white paint pen and highlight the "5.0 HO" and those "lines" in the plaque!
