Justin the harness we gave you was definately from a 1991 car. Im not sure exactly how much harness you got from us, but Im not sure on that issue.

I got the computer/engine harness from you guys. the headlight harness was from the salvage yard. i don't think that would be causing my fuel pump issue if it was the wrong one. The horn issue could be related to a wrong harness for the headlights. Although all the lights/blinkers work so its a little odd. one plug did not match up, but the colors of the wires did so i just put the plug from the old harness.

Nice man! Congrats on getting her running. Your Mass Air thing makes NO sense but hey - you're making serious progress.

*Waits patiently for video*

Sounds good with it running. Not sure on the MAF issues. I had my MAF get unplugged the other day and it did NOT run better, lol.

Congrats bro! It's nice to take them out the day they're finally done. So did everything feel? It looks like it sits nice and low and the wheels are badass. I love FR's.

Besides the MAF, what's next for 2008?

It is a little quite, and once there are tailpipes on it, it will be quieter. Its BBK shorties, BBK Catted X pipe, and MAC dumps. The dump tips will be removed and tailpipes installed.

So nice to take it out. I hadda check the brakes a number of times. It took us a while to get all the air out and get the pedal up off the floor but she stops good. I need to adjust the rear a little better.

As for 2008 (besides a MAF) i have a redline goods shift boot coming. Its blue leather to match the interior, that should be nice. I still have to adjust the e-brake a little better, it doesnt grab that great and i need to make another set of brackets to hold the cables away from the rear tires. They are still close and i don't want my cables rubbing. Also i need to add a set of tailpipes and bring her through inspection.

Over the winter im going to try to work on that rust on the hatch, and get her painted

Wow Justin, Congrats.

Car looks sexy going down the road, nice stance, one of the best wheel choices, and the white even looks classy. A nice fresh coat and your good to go! Still figuring out the MAF issue? We gonna see the car next weekend? How far from Etown are you? Me and the wifey will be around down there, maybe if we can get close to your place we can do some photos with both cars (so you dont have to drive far)?

Awesome work, nice to see a car go from sitting in my driveway as a mess of a 4cyl to one of my favorite foxes on here!

My car took a while to get the brakes safe too. I did new pads, and new rotors then I did 3 60-0 stops and let it sit and completely cool down. Hack Job got the same thing, but was a little more tricky with the hydroboost and the ABS. I bled the brakes with a Snap-On scanner purging the ABS unit as I opened and closed the bleeders. I then bled the master...and I couldn't believe the air in the master.

You'll get all those little bugs out, if those are the only things you have left, you're in good shape.

Thanks man. Hard work paid off when i pulled it down the driveway for the first time. it had been sitting in that same spot since july when your dad dropped it off. And who knows long its been since it's run under its own power. That vid was with the MAF completely unplugged. Working out that issue but the car runs beautiful with it unplugged so. Getting it titled, registered and insured today, then thursday is alignment. Im about 30-35 mins from e-town and i plan on driving it there definitely!! I wanna so your dad, and then we can shoot out to asbury or just around around e-town area

Once I fix the little dings and get a fresh coat of white, she'll be reallll nice

OH PS... Ask your dad for me, did that rear end have gears installed? I got a speedo gear for a 2.73 rear and its pretty off. says im doing like 20 when i was doing more like 35 haha!

I have all new pads on the front and rear i just need to get her out on the road. I don't want to drive it at all until i can get a front wheel alignment so i don't chew up my front tires. But i was surprised how well the car was braking from like 35mph. Can't wait to take it out in the roads and she how she does!!!!!

I understand completely, 18's can't be a joy to buy... I'd get the alignment ASAP as you are doing.

Also...your car should stop really good with teh 4 wheel disc. My black car is gone now, so I can't change that, but I wish I would have switched it to rear disc while I had it.

Yes the rear discs might have saved me from losing my car. Imagine doing 65-70 mph down the highway in the left lane. The car in front of you is a newer Maxima, and in front of that some other newer car, and in front of him a state trooper, all going the same speed, all about the same distances apart. Behnd me in the right lane is a line of cars going slightly slower (we had just passed them). All of a sudden I see the nose of the Maxima drop, and the brake lights on HARD. I jumped on mine as soon as I saw this. I looked back and realized the cars behind me were now next to me, with a concrete barrier to me left... Needless to say I locked the brakes up hard, but with some pumping got the car stopped... Left a good 150+ foot set of tire marks though.

Turns out something had fallen from a truck (appeared to be a metal book shelf) and the cop didnt see it till last second. He slammed the brakes causing all of us to.

My friend was in shock and actually asked me how I saw them hit the brakes, and how I stopped the car. I had visions of me losing it, but I really feel like had I had the originally brakes... it would have been an accident.

That is WAY Scary!!!

I really wanted to do a Cobra front disc conversion, BUT i didn't know what the "PBR" calipers were on the 99-04's. SVT told me about em, so as a more affordable route, i chose to do that swap. I didn't realize they were dual piston calipers! I haven't taken it out at any speed yet but they seem pretty nice, and the as soon as i hit the pedal it grabs real nice!

I went ahead and put some nice brake pads on it too, so that should help as well..

I'm just anxious to take her out on the road!!!!

I remember Brians story about that...SCARY!!

coupe...yeah they do grab good. I was extremely happy with them on my black car and I'm really happy with the 4 wheel conversion on my yellow car. Those PBR's rival the stopping power of my Cobra....actually I think they're better. Either my Cobra needs a brake fluid change (12 years old) or it's just the fact that Hack Job is lighter than the Cobra.
