This is for 05 GTs and V6 owners only.

1. List track, date, time and the weather conditions if available.
2. List the RWHP and RWTQ of dyno and type (Dynojet or Mustang Dyno) if available.
3. Weight of vehicle if available with driver.
4. Complete list of mods at time of drag and trans type.
5. List the 60ft, 1/8 and of course the 1/4 E.T. with the 1/8 and 1/4 MPH too.
6. List the rear wheel tire pressure and launch rpm.

Lets do this so we can get a better idea as to how to better our times and speeds.

page 119 owners manual

Always inflate your tires to the Ford recommended inflation pressure
even if it is less than the maximum inflation pressure information found
on the tire. The Ford recommended tire inflation pressure is found on
the tire label or certification label which is located on the B-Pillar or the
edge of the driver’s door. Failure to follow the tire pressure
recommendations can cause uneven treadwear patterns and adversely
affect the way your vehicle handles.

just more info
Description: Proper tire inflation pressure is the specified air pressure given by a carmaker for a certain tire on a specific vehicle. This pressure specification should not be confused with a tire's maximum pressure, which is usually listed on the tire's sidewall. Some vehicles may specify different pressures for the front tires and the rear tires.

Ok, that really doesnt say much. If it helps, the tires came with ~50 psi from the lot and 30 psi is clearly under inflated and effects my gas mileage severely. The whole point is that I know what proper tire inflation looks like and what improper inflation looks like.

And back to the topic please.

Good deal plus I'd love to see another 05 GT strutting its stuff out there.

I'll continue to post about getting back out there since I'll have a few install threads coming up. I am in a buying mood today and already went for the Throttle Body Spacer and Lower Control Arms. When I get to work I'll see if I can get the 4.10s at a decent price.

Before Im back at the track though my bottle valve will be mounted right behind the turned down rear seat. Im having a custom bracket mount made this Tuesday (if I dont mind giving my car up for an overnighter) that will mount the bottle forward and off the trunk floor so I can still run a spare tire if I feel like it. I found the bracket that I love btw...

Hey Turbo,

Are you going to Fontana this weekend? I'm taking the 05 GT 5 SPD for the first time on BFG'S KDW'S street tires 295 in the rear and just wanted some launching tips? I want to do this with T/C off. As you know this is a quarter mile track and I want to avoid that nasty wheel hop. Now I'm not very good at this whole drag racing thing, but it sure looks like fun so for $20.00 for the night I want to take my car and see how I do. It's hot in Fontana so I'm guessing it will probably be in the 90's.

Cleveland: If you can also give any tips on the proper launch its appreciated.

Current Mods:
1. Steeda Underdrive Pulleys
2. Magnaflow after the cat x-pipe (I'm using the stock factory cats)
3. Magnaflow magnapacks

Using magnaflows chassis dyno March 2005:
284 RWH
301 FT TORQUE

wow Dan you doin some heavy hauling with those tyre pressures???

I think the 50psi is the MAXIMUM inflation pressure for the tyre carkus not the RECOMMENDED pressure for your car, a subtle but BIG difference. 30-35psi is about right for 99% of cars on the road unless they are very oddball.

PS nice ET with nitrous

1: Moroso Motorsports Park, 10:00 PM June 24th, 89 degrees, 90% humidity.
2: 296.2 hp, 314.1 tq on a dynojet.
3: spare tire taken out, my 220 lb but in the driver seat.
4: All mods in my signature were on the car.
5: 60 ft: 1.931, 1/8 mi: 8.417 @ 83.38, 1/4 mi: 13.098 @104.99.
6: Nitto 555R drag radials @ 18 psi, launch rpm: 4000 rpm

4.10 gears will be going in soon as well as a spec stg 2 clutch and slicks. With these mods and some cooler weather I hope to me mid 12's.
