What a beautiful and unforgiving vehicle. I had a pic of a red viper prototype on my binder way back in nursing school. Was my daily motivation. I never owned one but got to spend a track day in one and had a driving instructer destroy a set of tires with me in the passenger seat on another occasion. What a visceral thrill.

I love you have to know how to drive them or they will bite you. I hate asking modern cars for permission to do anything. Used to be you had to know how to start you car. 2 pumps when cold. Crank too long and battery dies. 2 pumps when hot could flood it. Have to wait an hour and try again.

Now days the computer does all that for you so you can concentrate on more important things. Like updating social media while driving. I know there is a significant percent of our population that see cars as merely transportation. A day in this car will either scare you into automated driving or give you back your control of the world. Even if it ends when you step out of the vehicle.

Nope. It's a 28-year-old Chrysler. Not touching it with a ten-foot pole.

I swear one of these days I'm going to get back to the ol' hunk o' junk, but right now I'm dealing with enough other bull that the desire to stay after work and work on another damned car is gone right now.

In lieu of a real update, I'll bring back the "soundtrack" with what might've possibly been the best group of guitarists ever assembled on one stage:

BB King, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Jimmy Vaughan, and Robert Randolph all KILL IT in this performance. I've seen this video hundreds of time and it still gives me goosebumps.

If you start sounding like Shatner in the same song, you need to take a break and probably seek professional help. After I laughed at him not singing, I realized he got the songs intent on this album better than most singers.

Shatner never ceases to amaze me with his musical interpretations. His Rocketman and his Iron Man are fantastic.

Okay, what? Iron Man? I gotta see this...

I've seen the Rocketman interpretation. That was due to "Family Guy."

This is more powerful than Iron Man, although that’s the most I’ve actually understood of Iron Man’s Lyrics.

It's slow as at the shop, so you all know what that means...

It looks like the $150 "G-Plus" Chinese radiator is going to be an alright fit.

More to follow...

The Cow Catcher has been painted matte black and tentatively installed. The aluminum piece that the trans cooler mounts to has also been painted matte black.

Sorry it just looks out of place.

I’d park too close to a curb and adjust it by accident.
I hope this means it is running again.

It hasn't been inoperable since the day the carburetor returned to the intake manifold. It did sit there without a radiator for a few weeks, but it still started and ran if the need to move it arose.

It's actually just right for the adjusted parameters of this build which the observant will be able to figure out at a glance while the rest will have to wait to see.

Back on the road and going for a drive while running cool are the parameters I intended to convey. No offense was intended.

The pic makes it look like it has an underbite, I'm following to see the final result.
