I'm one of the founding members of the 99 Cobra club that had to fight (and never really won) the famouse Vibration that came off the rear end up thru the driveline. 99'ers will recall that it was tweak tweak tweak by indexing the shaft until it went away or at least dropped off so you didnt really notice it as much. That and an aluminum driveline finally eliminated most of my problem..Ok, fast forward to the present; I took my 03 (see sigs) on a road trip to Salt Lake a couple of weeks ago and, had a chance to take the speed into the 80's. Speed limit is 75 in Idaho and parts of Utah. When I hit 80-81 at 2100 MPH and 6th gear, there it was. Just like old times. A nice thru-the-seat hummmmmm. Accelerate up to 85 plus it drops off. Clutch in, it drops off. I got home, did a balance on my P-zero's just to eliminate that possibility. Does anyone know of a TSB on this for the 03's? If I have to go thru this again I'm going to blow my brains out. I spent a year jousting with Ford over the Vibe and the Fix and I dont feel like going thru it all again....Of course, like a buddy of mine said the other day; How many places in Western Washington are you going to get to cruise at 83 MPH..?
