This is so true haha. I called today about lunch time and they said it needed a few more hours and that it'd either be done late today or tomorrow. So it's gonna be tomorrow

Well I hope you hit the nail right on the head with that. Because if I get it next week, I'm not gonna be a happy camper. I'm gonna have a 4 day weekend and I'll be able to get a lot done IF I have the car lol

You guys really should feel awesome. I've only showed a couple of my friends pictures of it. I'm keeping it a secret from just about everyone, and I don't know why really. But here's a couple more pictures

Oh hell yeah! I was honestly disappointed with the first picture I saw since it looked purple. But seeing it in person, it looks much better. I'm ready to start driving it. But here is the most awesome AMAZING part of this build. I've owned the car for roughly a year and a half. I don't have a title. My dad was supposed to be doing all that non sense for me since he knows more about that than I, but he's dicked around for a year and a half. I'll honestly probably finish the car and have to let it just sit there as he gets around to getting my title.

Nope cuz he didn't have a title either lol. It was his "Parts car" for this hunk of JUNK '89 GT. The "parts car" was 10x the car the GT was so that's why I bought it, even without a title.

I like!!!

Sorry if you answered this already, but is that cowl hood steel or fiberglass? Thinking of going with a 2" cowl on mine next summer and was looking for options. Not crazy about fiberglass because watching a hood dance around at high speeds doesn't sit well with me....and I hate the look of hood pins! Saw a couple steel ones sold by Latemodel Restoration and National Parts Depot and am thinking of one of them?

Steel hood
I sadly had to cut the supports out because of that ignorant SSI intake. So I'll probably be watching mine dance around at high speeds

If it weren't for that I'd have my stock hood on.

I'm in the process of trying to get pictures from my phone onto my computer. Technical difficulties.
But, I got the car back today and worked on it for a little while this evening. Successfully did the 3G conversion, put my wing back on, and put the head lights in. I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow. I'm going to try to get all of the exterior back together (I have a few items that need a little bit of black paint on them) and I may try to tackle the entire front suspension. Sway bar, coil overs, CC plates, and do the 5 lug conversion on the front. I have a couple of the factory wheels that came off my dad's drag car so it'll probably sitting 5 lug in the front and 4 lug in the rear for a week or so
I still need to order the '93 Cobra master cylinder and need rear soft lines. After I get those two items I'll have everything for my 5 lug/disk brake swap.

I see MANY all nighters in my future
I actually have two upcoming 4 day weekends (this one and next) so I'm going to try to bust ass and get as much as I can get done. Then I'll probably hibernate till winter is over

You do have a point there. Especially because it has no heat. When I did the heater core in it, I got in a rush. There's no telling how I routed those vacuum lines under the dash. And my HVAC control panel is stripped out on the backside and god knows what else is going on back there. I hate doing stuff like that. That's why interior is last on my list of To Do's

Worked for a few hours on the car today. Didn't get as much done as I wanted, I got a wee bit frustrated. But here's what I got done

Coil overs in and new sway bar

And caster camber plates.

I tried bolting up the sway bar end links but they were being a pain in the ass so I just called it a day. The new ones are about 1/2" shorter than the factory ones so they'll need a little more effort to put in. Gonna do that tomorrow and put my 5 lug rotors on. Then I'll let it down, see how it sits, then adjust the height
