Think this combo will work?

I have an 88 Turbo Coupe that I shoe horned a 93 GT 5.0 HO,T5 and 3.73's in to it.
-underdrives
-bbk shorties
-2.5" off road X-pipe
-American Thunder cat back

The engine has a stock bottom end, other than new plasma moly rings and new bearings.

The upper end is where i did some work. I gasket matched the upper and lower intakes. I will also add an Edlebrock Performer later.

I have a set of ported 95 Cobra GT40 and SVO 1.6 roller rockers on it. I do know I will have to have the heads machined for the springs and fly cut the pistons.

The cam I have is a Comp cam XE266HR and the matching springs, retainers and keepers.

My question is. Is this a good combo, or is this going to be a dog?
I might go to the track once or twice a year, so this is a daily driven street car.
What does this cam sound like? Good chop to it or I won't really know it's there?
I should have done some more research on it before I bidded on it, but I didn't. I was feeling "good" when I bought it online.

Any feed back would be great, thanks!

If it runs good it should at least be in the mid to high 13 range, or better.

My friend did that with his Thunderbird. The best time he had was 15.0 @ 95mph. It runs BBK CAI, Mac 1 5/8 Longtubes, off road H, and Mac catback.
