I'm less than a month from closing on my house and after selling it i'll pocket close to 24,000. Most will go towards paying off remaining credit card debt and my wife's 06 Tribute to lower the monthly note but I'll probably have about 8500 left to purchase a cobra. I'm wondering what mods I can make to get mid to low 13's maybe 12's without gutting the car or adding a power adder. What gears?exhaust?cold-air kits? how much will a custom tune help with simple bolt-ons? As I already have a 94 5.0 that i'll drive daily my ultimate goal with the cobra is a turbo from turbochargedpower.com (hoping for 550rwhp) Will a 4.6 block from an 01 GT work for a engine build up and do the 96-98 cars come with the aluminum blocks? Oh are 4.10 too much for the car as a daily driver?

Answer to your ?

I have 4:56 gears and I think their doable, as long as there is not freeway driveing, and thats not even that bad. As for the block the 96-98 cobra blocks are alum and they are awsome bulider motors. Sean hyland says 1500hp max for the crank and block on 96-98 they are the teskid blocks. the rods and pistons are the week parts, 450hp or 500hp if your ballsy

Thanks for the info..... Most of my driving will be done on the interstate since it's only 0.5 mile from my house and it takes me str8 to work only 7 miles away. This car however will be a weekend car.

Stang1 your car seems to need a lot of work. Was the car in an accident?

4.10-4.30 gears, catback, mid-pipe especially, headers, JLT CAI, steeda pullies, shifter, upper and lower CA's, subframe connectors, and drag radials
