I killed my block. Hopefully I can salvage the heads, rest of my top end should be fine (mods in sig). So now I'm looking at rebuilding with a Coast High Performance 347 Street Fighter. Any thoughts?

I was making about 285 HP at the rear wheels with my mods. I'd like to not blow past a point where my stock driveline will need upgrades (T-5, driveshaft, rear end and axels). Probably looking at a Centerline dual friction clutch. Maybe a new flywheel. Any thoughts on whether the extra cubes will punch my power up too much for the rest of my stock parts?

Also, I may need a new clutch. Recommendations? Oh ya, and who's the guy that builds custom cams for 5.0's?

(BTW, it's a summer/weekend car - no strip time - street tires only)

Thanks guys.

If you are considering going custom cam

Just contact Ed or Jay and ask them about your plans

They will tell you what is what :Word:

Even if it is not what you wanna hear

You know ... things like ..............
50 more cubes is gonna change how the stuff you now got works

That's exactly what I want to find out. Seems like my heads and intake should flow pretty well for a 347. But what do I know (nothing). Thanks Grady.

The Twisted wedge heads and Street Heat will work fine w/a 347. What stock parts are you referring to? Id say you have your H/C/I option already covered. If you were going to take the E7 heads and stock intake and strap them down on a 347 and expected good numbers from it then Id be concerned but Id say your in good shape.
