Like the title says. Looking at what color options. It is currently tan and while I loved it at first due to it being different from most anything else, I am thinking of a full color change to a light metallic blue. Possibly even a two tone blue and gray like an 89GT.

The down side is the engine bay will remain the tan color until such a time I can pull the motor out. But since it runs great that may be a long time coming. I plan on painting it myself with Nason products so it should be interesting to say the least. I know some will say my compressor is insufficient but it will be fine. More interested in the color choices and if I should leave the color the same.

Ideas??

This is pretty much how it sits even though it was taken awhile ago. I pretty much just added ponies and "B" springs. I also rebuild the transmission as it was getting past it's time. Aside from a few maintenance issues it will runs strong almost 4 yrs later. Not bad for $1500.

If it were me, I wouldn't go two tone. I've never seen an LX that made an impression with a two tone pant scheme.
There are a ton of fantastic blue colors, there's even a thread full of blue foxes here, you may remember seeing it. I like reef blue, bright atlantic blue, and sonic blue would have to be my favorite. I actually have a reef car, and it'll get repainted with reef blue again.

Other than the blues, wild strawberry looks pretty good IMO.. Lots of people here like black, but it's very difficult to keep clean, and scratches jump out at you like a rabid dog with black, I won't get it again..

You realize that you're gonna get 351 different preferences from 351 different people.

No offense, but it always amazes me when somebody asks a question dealing w/ personal preferences. Go to a paint store and look at color chips, get a buttload of magazines and scan for ideas. Whether you go solid, two-tone, or stripe it, it's been done already.

There are 73 bagillion different offerings on the thread of the nicest foxes ( Mine is not there, BTW) between them, you should be able to come up w/ a plan.

None taken-
I know I will get several opinions which is why I asked. I love searching through stangnet and seeing the photos of bad ass rides but having people chime in helps me out more. Like said above, I am leaning toward a light blue metallic. I have a paint sample of it but it went away when I sold my '66. So I am trying to get something close to it. Red strawberry is a second choice and then re painting back to tan is another.

As far as it all being done, I haven't seen one like yours before so that statement isn't true.

I vote to go with tan again. That's a unique color, don't ruin it by painting it a color you see everywhere else. Just do away with all the ugly striping on the side and maybe do a satin or gloss black cowl stripe on the hood. If you're set on a metallic (which I don't blame you, I love metallic), there are some modern metallic tans that wouldn't be a drastic departure from your color, but you'd get the metallic and it'd look great.

Post it up in there, man. Not like there is a voting process or anything, haha.

I liked them. Back end is still a little too high but overall it has a nice look to it. I am not sure on what the final drop was as I did it years ago. I bought the springs used and they went in nicely. I still would have preferred some Eibachs though.
