All right its time to rebuild the diff. I have 2 mustangs, a 87 GT and an 89 LX. The GT was for parts because the front end is severely rusted so I bought a body (LX). Now that I have a spare parts car I want to pull the rear out of the GT, rebuild it and put it under the LX. What is the best rebuild kit that I could use for this? I also plan on putting 373 or 355's in it while its out Any recomendations would be awesome.

I'd stick with a Ford rebuild kit, but that's all i've ever used and i've had good luck with'em. Do a search here on how to modify the clutch packs...basically the stock setup is something like clutch/steel/steel/clutch etc, and the modification is clutch/steel/clutch/steel etc. You have to mic the thickness of each side to make sure you end up with the same thickness on each side and shim them right. You end up with more clutches than the stock setup has and the diff will lock up tighter and more often. We did this on my rear end with all used clutches from another stock diff and even with used wore out clutches my rear end never one wheel peels. I say do a search because i had to get help doing mine and i may be leaving out details..

Well Im kind of in a bind. I cant seem to find a complete rebuild kit with the clutches, shims, and all the bearings. the closest thing I have found is the Master Rebuild kit and the Clutch kit from LMR. Which is sold seperately and then also I have to buy the gear set also. Do i need all of that? Before I took the motor out of the car I did a burnout and it turned out that both wheels spun. of course pass thicker but I just wanted to rebuild as a precaution that way I dont have to worry bout it going out for a while!
