time to start the winter mods

Yea the ramps are only about 5" high but it's enough to be able to get jack under it easier and craw under it to change the oil. Once I get the car done I plan to epoxy the floor and bolt the ramps to the floor so it's easier to work on in garage

Wires be gone!

Got a few more things to clean up and I gave to cut apart the o2 harness to get rid if the starter wire low oil wire and maybe rewrap it. Cleaned the bell housing up and boy that was dirty!

milling them valve job and springs... i'll be taking the EGR bump out of them and maybe cleaning up the casting on the intake side. they are the GT40M heads which have the bump but no EGR. im hoping we dont go to far since the M heads have 67CC chambers not sure if the chamber is higher or just a different shape. the end result will be needing to take rick the short block to have the pistons cut also

went over all the bolts to double check they were torqued right. everything is ready for the heads from rick now...

but i hit a snag... my supply of octoberfest is very low. think im down to 3 :(

talked to rick yesterday... hes going to have the heads done by the end of the month... which is cool with me since i knew he had a back log of stuff to do since everyone always waits till the last minute for hot rod weekend...

he's going to do a few other things with the heads like some porting and polishing and removing the EGR bump

started doing some work to the lower intake last night cleaning up the bumps in the number 3 and number 7 intake runner removing casting flash and smoothing out the casting itself

well looks like the motor for the race car should be done in time to make the race this weekend... so it looks like its going push the time i have for mine a bit slimmer... no biggy its been to damn hot to drive it anyway

well everything thats can be done without the motor is done now... starting to get that itch after being at the ford show at celisle friday and the track saturday....
