ok on my motor the timing pointer is sort of wierd. it has a circle window right over the balancer and timing marks but also it has a place over the balancer where it has a flat edge. is anybody following this description. do i line the flat edge up with the correct timing mark or do i center the timing mark in the circled window above the balancer.

I believe it is a standard pointer.

You time the motor off of the flat edge.

Thanks for all the info as that is what I have on my carbed 95 and found that it runs purity good with the mark in the middle of the slot ? Any further and it starts to pre ignite when starting. I’ll run it and check tthe plugs . Man thank y’all for all the info .! Anyone need a pair of long tube headers for the sn95 just let me know
