I go one range colder on the plug and try 8 degrees, then slowly add the timing back in reading the ground strap on the plug so you can tell. You may find 8-10 degrees works fine.

Plug Reading is a must with N2O to know what is going on, you need to read the plug right after it is sprayed.

Huimidity and temp have a huge effect on how much timing can be used so almost every situation is a lil different.

I would play it safe and start off around 6 degrees and then go from there. 10 degrees is stock but if you car is in good running order you can bump it up to 13-14 degrees when running all motor. So taking away from that will be more than you think.
For Trick Flow aluminum heads I would try Autolite 3923's and gap them around 35. That would be a colder plug.

You can run it at 6 degrees and leave it there. It will not have as much power on motor until you hit the nitrous but it should be safe. As long as the rest of your combo is in good running order and up to the task. Such as fuel delivery, ignition and such....

On my old built 302 set-up, alum heads I sprayed 175 with 10 degrees timing, 1 range colder plug...in the heat I pulled a little timing out top (which would be the same as dropped your base to 8) since it was leaning out.
