1993 Notch, 5 speed

Problem:
After installing GT40X aluminum heads, B303, and a crappy SSI intake, the car backfired out the exhaust, out the intake, and would not run without 30 degrees of timing.

Fix:
Finally. After the car sat for 2 years, my neighbor did the valve train work. It was the rocker arms. They weren't shimmed correctly and they weren't lashed correctly. The car now runs at about 16 degrees.

On a separate note, I took my fuel pressure up to 50 because I was running 19 lb injectors. BAD IDEA! It broke that FPR and we put a new adjustable on it, added 24 lb injectors, and put a 190lph sending unit.

Aside from a slight vacuum leak from the intake and the need for a new temp sensor, all is well and this car is EVIL.
