What should set my timing at while cruising at around 1000-2000 rpms. I did a datalog and saw it was at 40 degrees. Thats alot aint it???

Any one wan to see the datalog????:D

I left ALL of my non-WOT timing alone. Yes the stock non-wot cruise load/rpm timing numbers are high. That is why its SOOOO bad to not kill the EGR tables when removing the EGR tube. The timing can go to the mid 40*'s (if one was to set the dizzy to 14*). That leads to the ping as the egr adds fuel in the recirculation of the gas so it would now be leaner with more timing.

If your not having a ping issue leave it alone. My thinking is Ford spent alot of time money and paid people who know a Hell-o-va lot more than I for cruise and non-wot timing so I left them alone. They had to make people happey with drivability so I left it alone.

ok i was just wondering if i messed with something and meesed it up. Hey my MAF Volts reacheched almost 4.9. Is that bad.(im waiting for mt LAMF connection to get here, im rolling on the stocker), can you get pinging just cruising?

People tend to get ping at cruise when they delete the egr tube and leave the eec alone. Our cars seem to be more ping prone though. I would again leave the tables in that area stock. You wont gain anything from changing them more than likely anyway.

4.9 volts is pegging it. I would not go WOT to be safe until you get that new Maf on.
