Depends on your skill level. I just changed mine last week on my SVO. Expect it to take a few hours. My advice is to remove the crank pulley and the water pump pulley. Air is a big help on those 2 pulleys. You only need to remove the fan, accessory belts and the front timing belt cover. Don't worry with emptying your coolant and removing the thermo. Also you'll need to learn how to remove the tensioner and apply pressure and what not. I just unbolted it after I cut the old belt off.

A few tips, set #1 cyl. to TDC (use a breaker bar and a 21 or 22mm socket and move it clockwise) and don't move any of the pulleys. If you do and if your cam timing mark on the shroud is toast, use a string (if you still have a dizzy, if you don't this doesn't apply). Take the string from the center bolt on the cam to the center bolt on the aux. shaft. Point the cam timing mark to be inline exactly with the string. That will point the cam at TDC. Make sure you mark your dizzy for #1 also. Also, line up your crank key mark at 12:00. This should put the crank pointer at about 1 and should put you at TDC. Once you do all this, your timing is done. Try not to move anything. The dizzy is the easier to move and screw up your timing.

It took me 3 tries to get the timing right. These motors are non-interferance so don't be afraid you can't damage them. Go to NAPA and get their timing belt kit. It comes with a new tensioner and belt for only $50.

I did it in my girlfriends driveway with some basic hand tools ect... its ALOT easier with a good air compressor, but it can be done without, if you decide to do it, id sugest having a buddy help if your not familar with the timing...
