tip for 94-98 wingless mod

just took the wing off my 98. this is for the people who have the trunk lids with the oval holes in the back for the wing.

go to Advanced Auto Parts of any other local auto parts stoor and get GM trim/panel retainers. the ones I got were sold in a set of 2, and the part number is 45092. the best part is, they come in a glossy black already, so if you have a black car you dont even need to paint them. also, the cover up the crappy oval holes in the back beautifully. just add some silicone, and your all set. total cost was about $4.00.

Hmmm, i just took mine off a few weeks ago. I went to Lowes and found some that fit perfect for the small holes, but had to put 2 oversize ones for the back and it looks dumb. Pics please!

no. they look like the pins that hold door panels on and that kind of thing. the push right in and hold themself in the holes.

they look like the one on the bottom all the way to the right.

meh, never liked the wingless look on 94-98. You need a slammed ride w/ 10.5" deepdishes to make it look right, and even then it only looks good from angle IMO

That's pretty cool. I might buy some of those and do that to mine. If I don't like it, I can put the spoiler back on. I'd only be out $4.

My method looked a lot more sano before I filled in the holes.
