Tire And Wheel Question /help

Hey Guys,

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to tire and wheel size. I'm lookin to buy a new set of wheels for my car and I want to know if my current tires will work with them. The tires that came with the car and are on now are 255 40 17. The wheels on now are the black 10th anniversary wheels. Since those came with the car I have no idea what width they are.

The wheels im looking to get are 17x8 in front and 17x9 in rear. Will those work with my current 255 40 17 tires?
