tire pressure 2000gt

hey what tire pressure should i be rocking out in my 2000gt 17inch bullit rims um max psi is 44 psi. right now all the wheels have 40psi but i think it might be to much for racing. what u guys think? 40 in the front, 35 in the rear?

40 is way too much for anything, what kind of racing? For street use 30-35psi is fine all around. For drag racing 35-38 up front and 30 or less in the rear. For autocrossing I use 38 front, 36 rear.

drag racing style of racing / fun drive around the town or getting on it on some dead streets. i just i can put the fronts to 35-38ish and the rear to 32psi.
