Hello All. I have a 90 GT and I am mounting new tires with 17 inch rims. The tire size is 235/45/R17. The original tires were 225/60R 15. My question is what tire pressures should I be using. I have read that the original tire pressures are 30 psi. How do I adjust this for my new tires? Thank you! Eugene

So long as the width of the rim matches the tire (there are tables available to check this if required) then you would stay with stock tire pressures.

Let's assume your tires and rims are correct. 30 to 33 psi cold.

generally speaking, the pressure you run depends on contact patch area, vs weight of the vehicle.

Given the weight isn’t changing as you make your contact patch larger in area (wider tire) you can reduce pressure. Likewise if you reduce contact patch area, you want to increase pressure (without exceeding max pressure of tire)

I run around 30psi on 245 tires, and maybe around 28psi on a 265 rear.
