I need new front tires for the fox. I currently have 235/40/18 up front and 265/35/18 out back. I am keeping the 265s out back for now cause they have alot left in them. For my new fronts, I wasn't sure what to get? Would a 255/35 up front be good? I like the look of the 265/35 out back so would like the same kind of look up front. The 235/40 up front looks streched out on the 9 inch rim so I don't think I should go with that size again.

i think 245 is pushing the limits on the front, 255 might be just a bit too much.... not for the rim, but regarding fender clearance. i think it really depends on your setup though. i haven't seen many guys on here that run any bigger than 245's up front without some additional work to make it happen...
i'm running 245's front, 275's rear btw....

You guys have to remember a 17" rim vs and 18" rim changes this a bunch. 245/45/17s will fill the tire out better than a 245/40/18, trust me!

I run 255/35/18s on my 18x9s. They fit but stretch a bunch. Why not toss the 265s out front (if you can get them to fit) and buy some 275s or 285s out back?

25th... you mean it stretches so it pulls the sidewall in? The 255s should have a 10.04 inch surface width instead of my 235s with a 9.25inch width, right? Do you have any pics with the tire turned?

Can a 275 tire without any modification? I don't want to flip the quads or cut off the tail pipes or whatever else.

I will try and find some of my better pictures to show this, but what I mean is the tire will stretch to fit the 9" rim. My rim is wider than my tire, so when stacked, by rims are resting on eachother, not the tires. I hope this explains it enough.

Thanks man. Your car looks sick! :nice: The tire doesn't look that stretched but i understand what you mean. I'll post up a pic of my tire later.

BTW, are you running 275/35 out back?

Thanks, I run 285/35 out back, but have a 10" rim. A 275/35 should fit well on a 9" rim. My friend also runs 235s on his 18x9 and his look about the same as yours. I would say a 255 will look better than that, even with a little strecth!
