getting ready to get new tires, just making sure I get the right ones the first time. I have 17x8 bullet wheels . I have a 92 fox body. thinking of running a 245/50/17 in back and 225/50/17 in the front, and the car is lowered. check out my sig for a pic, will the 245/50s work in the back with it being lowered and not rub.

The 245/50 is going to be a little tall. I have 245/45x17 on the front of my car on a 8" wide wheel. They definitely will not rub on the back provided the back spacing is correct.

I run 235/45/17 up front and 255/45/17 out back on 17x8 sn95 wheels.

The 235 up front is a slightly smaller diameter which keeps it from rubbing however I will prob go with 245/45/17 next time to get a bit more rubber up front for braking performance. I would not put a 225 on an 8" wide rim. That's too narrow for that rim

Out back, I like the fit of 255/45/17 with sn95 axles.

The reason I thought 225s on front was I don’t have sn95 spindles on yet and it rubs now with the 225s I have now when I turn the wheel. My back wheels tuck in on the back but don’t think I have enough room for 255s though. If I run 45s up front won’t that lower my front end more than what it already is

What 5-lug conversion are you running? Swap rotor and drums?

If so, they do sit s but closer in than sn95 spindles and axles, so you might have run issues in that case. Sn95 spindles will push the front wheels out a tad, even 94/95 so it will give more clearance. Are you changing?

I have fox length axels in back and stock spindles in front with no dust covers on the hubs. It was like that when I got the car and I didn’t know it. The guy put 50 series tires in front and 45 s in the back, isn’t that bad to run that way.
